Domonique Callion

Domonique Callion“Working with Zach and Doug Male through Ohio Charter Partners, ‘I do not know if I could have graduated with honors from Premier Academy High School as their Valedictorian. Following graduation, Zach Male helped me in several additional ways and I’m even more proud to say that I just finished my Freshman year in the Honors program at The Ohio State University, where I’m attending on a full ride scholarship.

Antonio Riggins

Antonio RigginsAntonio Riggins was struggling at Columbus Independence Public High School, a traditional, crowded public school. When Antonio and his mother and his school counselors had a moment to talk with Ohio Charter Partners, we learned and continue to learn how dynamic Ohio’s Charter Schools can adapt to better serve students like Antonio all over Ohio. Antonio’s mother came to us in tears fearing that because Antonio had received several tough breaks and had gone through the majority of his primary and secondary education as a unidentified special needs student, that his High School Diploma would be completely out of reach for Antonio.

We were able to identify Antonio’s specific special needs and then design a learning environment specifically for Antonio. “Antonio was having so much trouble at Columbus Public Schools! I just didn’t know what to do and I did not think that he would ever be able to get his diploma… We are proud to say that Antonio Riggins graduated from Premier Academy High School as last year’s salutatorian! Every time I see Doug or Zach Male I start to cry thinking of all the work they did for Antonio and all the other students at Premier Academy of Ohio.
